40Acres MikuFest! 2025

Overview
In March 2025, a student-run concert for the virtual pop idol Hatsune Miku titled "40Acres MikuFest!" premiered at the Austin-based anime convention, KomoriCon. Because of its impact, the “40Acres MikuFest!” is occurring as an annual event in which I am continuing to be a part of. I serve as the Co-Producer and manage separate teams for 2D/3D Animation, motion capture (for dances), props and set design, and lighting and visual design. I am in charge of recruiting talent, forming teams, assigning roles and deadlines, seeking partnerships/sponsorships, and scheduling appointments/meetings. I liaised a partnership between the “40Acres MikuFest!” and the Department of Arts & Entertainment Technologies to further boost the production by utilizing AET resources, such as the LIM Lab for motion capture and connections with the Texas Performing Arts for our 2026 venue at the B. Iden Payne Theatre. Apart from management, I also participate in the production as a Tech Coordinator, VFX Artist, Motion Capture Advisor, Data Wrangler, Digital Imaging Technician (DIT), and Animation Cleanup. I use Derivative TouchDesigner and Resolume Arena to develop the real-time visuals, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects/Premiere Pro for video editing, and Captury, Maya, and Blender for the 3D animations
